QUALIFIED CASTING TUITION

For anyone starting to fly fish and is looking for someone to teach them the basics of casting, it is most important that the teaching is done by a Qualified Instructor, of which there are many.

Be sure to visit www.gameanglinginstructors.co.uk and look for an Instructor in your area. These Instructors have taken time and money to learn their trade, as do all who teach in any subject and in this day and age of health and safety all Qualified Instructors are fully covered by insurances, first aid, and had child protection disclosures done.

Each Instructor has the knowledge to help you learn how to cast, rectify faults and ways of helping you achieve your aim of casting and enjoying the sport. As with learning anything be it driving, golf or mechanics, you would want the person showing you to be qualified and it is the same with flyfishing.

Every angler who casts a fly has their own ways, but every Instructor teaches the same way and adds his own enthusiasism and encouragement to the lesson but you know that if he or she is Qualified he teaches like all other instructors and he knows his trade well. In the end it is up to you to choose how you want to progress with your sport. Lessons don't cost the earth but points you in the right direction and helps you from picking up any bad habits that in later years you may want rectified and also helps you progress to further casting techniques of which there are many.

If you can't do the basics you won't be able to do the advanced casts later. Ask yourself how many times have I said "I can't cast into the wind" or "my line lands in a heap" or "I can't cast very far", all of these can be sorted, and it is all down to basics. You will find all Qualified Instructors very friendly and helpful because they want you to enjoy the sport and they will give you all the help you will need.

So if you are thinking about learning the art of Fly fishing, learn from the right source and that is someone who IS Qualified to do so. Ask to see their certificates of competance and insurances before you start. Would you learn to be a doctor or a dentist from someone unqualified? I know this is taking it to the extreme but the fact is water is dangerous, as are hooks and therefore, qualified Instructors take this into account but more importantly they are covered by Insurances and are QUALIFIED to teach you the sport. It is up to you in the end and it's your money you are giving for a service.
